On behalf of a client OH4HO is well equipped to manage both long- and short-term non-attendance at work through policy and procedure that support both employee and employer. This includes return to work and rehabilitation programmes.
Within an agreed timeframe, OH4HO can provide a detailed response to management referrals concerning employee absences as well as those concerning personnel who are in work but needing occupational health support. Individuals are followed up and reviewed at agreed intervals for as long as occupational health support is agreed to be necessary by OH4HO and the referring manager concerned.
OH4HO can also facilitate robust sickness absence management policies and procedures that will benefit both employee and employer and undertake occupational health risk assessments where deemed applicable by OH4HO and to provide subsequent reports.
For those employees returning to work and requiring a ‘fit for work’ assessment OH4HO can fulfil a key role in ensuring a successful rehabilitation programme. This can include liaison with GPs, consultants and other outside agencies to ensure that a multi-disciplinary approach is carried out within the return to work process and that individuals secure the necessary support whilst undergoing rehabilitation. Individuals are followed up for review at agreed intervals, and if deemed necessary after rehabilitation is completed. Regular communication is maintained throughout, both with the employee concerned and, following consent, with the line manager.
